So these sconces seem to be weak from all of the posts we read of these breaking, so I found these similar sconces (<– get it here, #ad), slightly smaller, but they have 2 cross bars to hold the glass shade rather than one. I used the mounting plate from the old one but the new glass shade assembly). They seem sturdier.

Another option which seems better than the original are these sconces with shades (<– get it here, #ad) which protects the eye from the direct light from the LED bulb.
